The UNO-St. Claude Gallery is excited to continue its series of Master of Fine Arts Thesis exhibitions for the Spring 2014 semester. Two exhibits will be held concurrently, from February 8 – March 3, 2014. Opening receptions will be held March 2 from 6-9 p.m. The gallery is located at 2429 St. Claude Ave. Regular gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 12-5 p.m.

Jason Childers will exhibit multi-media sculpture in his one-person exhibit, “Peripheral Recognition.” Childers’ work hinges on a deep exploration of the everyday and the tenuous relationships between artist, object, art, and life.

Wendell Brunious also takes inspiration from the everyday, as his paintings blend commercial imagery with abstract form. The works in his one-person show, “Influxx,” are bright, active fields of color resulting from his combination of these seemingly disparate forms.
