Dear COLA faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends,
Today marks the end of Dean Susan Krantz’s distinguished career at the University of New Orleans. In her 30 years at this university, Dean Krantz has touched the hearts and minds of her students and colleagues, leaving behind a legacy of excellence. Her leadership through the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and several years of devastating budget cuts have kept the College of Liberal Arts strong and pushed it to new heights. She has been a wise mentor and friend to her colleagues, bringing her remarkable personality, and sometimes humor, song, and dance, to the college during some of the most difficult of circumstances this university has ever faced. Please join us in thanking Dean Krantz for her extraordinary 10 years of service as dean and 30 years of service to the University of New Orleans.
“If music be the food of love, play on,
Give me excess of it; that surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die.”
– William Shakespeare, Twelfth Night (I.i.1-3)
