October marks National Arts and Humanities Month

Fall is here and now it’s time to gear up for National Arts & Humanities Month—a coast-to-coast celebration of culture in America! This October, people in communities throughout the country are encouraged to explore new ways the arts and humanities can play a greater role in their lives. COLA  would like to kick off the festivities by discussing 2 arts and humanities issues, one national, and one local:

1. Should there be continued funding for Public Broadcasting stations?

2. What additional role can UNO’s arts and humanities play in improving campus life and life in New Orleans?

We’ll be discussing these issues throughout the entire month, so feel free to leave your thoughts here or on our Facebook page. We look forward to hearing from you!
