Less is Gore: Violence in the Fiction of Judith Gautier

The Women’s and Gender Studies Program & Department of Foreign Languages are proud to present Less is Gore: Violence in the Fiction of Judith Gautier (a part of the Women’s and Gender Studies Program Coffee Talk series). Dr. Juliana Starr, Associate Professor of French, will explore the theme of violence in the fiction of Judith Gautier (1845-1917), the first woman elected to the prestigious Goncourt Academy. This event will take place Tuesday, September 25th in LA 197, and is free and open to the public. If you don’t have any plans, stop by for what is sure to be an interesting discussion!
